Was that the first time you watched animal slaughter in front of you?
It's not easy for me to handle that too, I'm the only one in my family who doesn't watch the sacrifice of Eid, (which is similar to what you saw,) but I know I should learn to handle it sooner or later.

Hi. Yes it was the first time for me. It was difficult since the animal had its throat slit to let the blood out. In the west typically animals get their heads punctured and their death is instant.
Also all the dancing and cheering made it feel like something out of a movie :p

I can relate to the dancing part. My country Libya has a similar culture to Morocco. Weddings are too noisy for me.

As far as I know, #death is instant in this case too. If you saw the body moving a little while the blood is let out, that happens while the animal is already dead.
