In this case, the beach was really big. Let's say 1km. Every year it eats 5meters or more, it can eat a lot still.
But it's almost on the limit. Behind that dune is a field (with dirt and some are cultivated)

Oh, 5 millimeters is usual, I thought this was a strange situation...

But isn't it mindblowing how earth survived all these millions of years with things like these happening every day all over it?

Yeah. New mountains, oceans, etc.
Nothing was lost, all was recycled

Only mankind is glitching this system. (I mean, things like Plastic eventually turns to a matter that poisons anything it touches.)
