We don't have rivers in the town I live in, but we have sea/beaches! So, at least we have something.~

I don't know the proper name in English. But is that stream of water you see and goes to the beach.
Both #Canals & #Rivers fit that description... A River is natural (and usually come from a mountain,) and Canal (at least to my understanding) is man-made.
