While self-voting is seen as "reward farming", there are several important uses for it. For example, if you have a comment that is so important (like telling somebody that a link on a comment by a hacked Hive account with very high Reputation is blatant scam), you may upvote your own comment for it to be trending on the comments section and hopefully warn more users. Alternatively, if your post has "Payout Burned" or "Donate to Reward Fund" Reward, you can upvote your own post (if you have lots of Hive Power) for it to have a high position on the Trending posts. 🤓
