Contemplating switching over to Mac, mostly out of curiosity in exploring a new operating system. Have only ever really used Windows in my life, so this will be a fascinating change if I opt to go that route. Any noteworthy differences?

I'd rather go for Linux Mint.

NO, it is not complicated.
NO, you do not need to know programming.

It is just a very good operating system, and coning from windows, you will have no problems using it. Only limit is standard mac/windows programs like photoshop, ableton live, final cut.

Drop me a line if you have any questions.

Linux I've been curious about for a while and would definitely like to experiment around with it! I'll definitely ask questions along the way.

Linux comes in different forms and shapes (called distributions); I'd make sure to use Linux Mint, as it is the most user friendly version.

yup! mac is faster than windows 10 !

Don't know about Mac, but I tried Linux (twice, different versions) and it was a completely different experience. In a good way. Still need Windows though.... If I had two PCs, I want one of them to be a Linux system.

Speaking about Mac, do you have an iPhone/iPad?

Don't know if you're still mulling this choice, but I'll tell you that I've never regretted switching to Mac ever since I ragequit Windows altogether back in 2006. In fact, the operating system continues to get better and better.
