You don't need to invest from outside on any of those blockchains, though you can, of course. DeSo is quite similar to Hive, Bastyon is pretty easy to understand, and Qortal just takes a little time to get to know. They have an excellent wiki, however. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I still consistently earn the most from what I do on Hive, but yes, I am earning on all of them. I'm not getting much on DeSo yet because I just haven't focused there much yet. You need to be a minter to earn in Qortal, and that's as a reward for running a node. It was actually with the assets that I made on Bastyon that allowed me to do my massive powerup to dolphin level on December 1st. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
