I have some acoustic mats too for a door, but after they don't hold the position I give up and leave it.

They come in handy for voicing adult movies, especially for the very loud scenes. Do you voice humans scenes only? :p
Special if a lot of passion is involved. So acoustic mats would be not that bad :)
And Robots " don't push that button, Oh no... Please don't stop" :D
