All I get from randoms, even randoms in the crypto space, is that of course tech companies don't want Nazis plotting to subvert our democracy on their platforms.

There could be many HIVE Witnesses and infrastructure based on AWS. This was certainly the case with Steemit. We need decentralized infrastructure that is reliable and affordable as AWS. Switching to Microsoft Azure could be a temporary solution.
