This machine was once a champion 🏆used to sew many things. Everything has its time and so was the above sewing machine.
In Nigeria, fashion designers (tailor) are the most users of this machine. The sound PEKE PEKE PEKE was like a musical sound to us when we were young and we always like to sit by the machine and listen to its sound. The second user of the above machine are the bag makers and tent sewer.
We also have people who repair the machine when faulty, the materials for repair were scarce and the machine mechanic always keep you posting to come collect bad machines after a month or plus, this is one of the problem of the machine users and people that patronize them.
Another aspect of the machine is how to set the needle. Needle setting to some users is a big problem, most old users usually look for young folks to help them put tread into the hole of the needle or they use there glasses in order to zoom the hole. Whereas if they had stayed in a brighter place they wouldn't be needing help to put the tread. However, the above machine is still in use In nigeria by different apprentice, but in an advance way but using electric pedals to run the machine instead of the leg pedal that usually come with it.
The complete machine cost #50,000 nigerian naira now and from findings I heard it was 25 cellin years back.
