Hello Community Hive!
Unfortunately, in a few days I have to leave loving Solferino in the direction of Mérida (state of Yucatán) and then subsequently move to San Cristóbal de Las Casas (state of Chiapas) so I want to use this article to thank the community of Solferino (state of Quintana Roo ) for the hospitality he gave me and the chance to have experienced an incredible local Mexican life!

Hola comunidad Hive!

Solferino is a quiet town with a beautiful and liveable central square which is the community meeting center. There is also the main road that leads to Chiquilá in the direction of Holbox, a beautiful island that I will describe in my next article. Furthermore, in the square you can eat delicious street food, play basketball (the main sport played here) and it is the only point where you have free internet access. In the street there are also small shops selling excellent quality kitchen tables which are bought mainly by tourists but also by locals. the products are really of excellent quality!

This was my first city that allowed me to experience the true Mexican spirit. The architecture of the very original local buildings. Most of the buildings here are built by the owners themselves.

During my stay in Solferino I went to a party thanks to the person who was hosting me for my volunteer work. The venue was lovely, great music played by a band and good local food!

Locals work almost every day. Living in a jungle it is important to maintain plants because life is constantly evolving and growing! Plus, locals are always growing new plants that they can plant in their garden!

I conclude my story by thanking all the animal friends who accompanied me in this unique experience. Thanks to their company I experienced truly special moments. I had little experience living with dogs and cats but spending several weeks with them was a wonderful experience... almost touching! THANK YOU !
