I Use These 2 Tools to Write: It Saves My Time!

It saves me a lot of time compared to writing on Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

I have been writing for 3 years, but I did not realize that I might be missing something in my writing journey.

Why?

Here’s my writing process:

I open my laptop, sit at my desk, and stare at the blank screen.

I often experience writer’s block. I don’t know what to do; I don’t know what to write.

Then everything changed when I learned about this tool.

I know that this might be helpful for my writing routine.

I started using it, even in my previous post. If you remember, I mentioned that there were some errors with punctuation and capitalization in my last post.

Here’s the thing:

I am using The Most Dangerous Writing App, an online app that helps writers avoid procrastinating.

The process and setup is simple.

Start the app, choose the time length that you want to work (I often pick 3–5 minutes), then start writing.

Heck, what is dangerous about using this?

Well, the twist is that you must keep writing and never stop because if you stop, all the text you write will disappear.

It will not be saved or stored. So you have to continue writing.

When the time runs out (the time length that you set), you can now stop writing because the text will not disappear anymore.

Make sure that you copy and paste the text that you’ve written before clicking the “Start again” button because this button is like creating a new file, and your text will not be saved if you don’t do it.

The second tool that I use for my writing is ChatGPT.

If you have read my previous post, you will know that I am using ChatGPT to edit my posts.

I still do the same: I write everything on The Most Dangerous Writing App, copy-paste it to ChatGPT, and use the prompt to edit my post.

Make sure to read my last post if you want to know the secret prompt.

I always make sure that I can write efficiently. Using tools like this maximizes my creativity and helps me overcome my writer’s block.

They are just simple tools and easy to use.

For example, I wrote this post in only about 4 sessions of The Most Dangerous Writing App, which is about 12 minutes.

It saves me a lot of time compared to writing on Microsoft Word or Google Docs, where it took me around 4 hours for content creation and editing.

Overall, I am loving the experience of using these two tools. I am saving a lot of time in writing and editing.

For now, I am consuming more time optimizing my posts for SEO.

Who knows? I might find another way to save more time as well by using other tools.

Maybe you know something? Share it in the comment section!

I love how you use ChatGPT as a spelling and grammar checker and I will try it myself. To see if it is any easier to use than my current method - LanguageTool.

One disadvantage I can see is that LanguageTool gives me a character count and word count that is often useful. But maybe I could enhance your ChatGPT prompt to also provide that?

But maybe I could enhance your ChatGPT prompt to also provide that?

Sure! I also ask chatGPT to tell me the words after the prompt haha

Haha for real! Have you tried it?

Yes, I tried it after participating in the
freewriters daily prompt, where they suggest you try it, though they first told me about it in my first NaNoWriMo.

Although to be honest I personally find it more stressful than helpful and end up stuck at the keyboard. although you have made me curious I will try your formula.

I personally find it more stressful

Haha why then?
