Before and after! Street-art for urban redevelopment

As someone knows, especially those who have followed me for some time, I am the president of a Cultural Association called "The colors of life" with which we organize various events.

This time we went to the port of Terracina and carried out an urban redevelopment of a dilapidated building.

So we armed ourselves with a trowel, mortar mixer, ladder, cement and plaster and we rebuilt the facade. Me with my friends, artists and masons.

The idea of ​​the mural is connected to the port and the sea, my great friend, the street-artist Marco Robof at my suggestion, he threw down a sketch depicting a hermit crab coming out of a Roman amphora, with large anchors on the side. Also painted a sea turtle in anticipation of the fact that Terracina will become a study and treatment center for sea turtles.

Then the real street-art works begin with the various steps of realization.

And here is the final result! Marco Robof and Simia did a great job!

Come qualcuno sa, soprattutto chi mi segue da tempo, sono il presidente di un Associazione Culturale chiamata "I colori della vita" con la quale organizziamo diversi eventi.

Stavolta siamo stati al porto di Terracina e abbiamo operato un intervento di riqualificazione urbana di un edificio fatiscente.

Così ci siamo armati di cazzuola, impastatore per calce, scala, cemento e intonaco ed abbiamo rifatto la facciata.

Nella foto sopra sono in compagnia dei miei amici artisti e muratori.

L'idea del murales è collegata al porto e al mare, il mio grande amico, lo street-artist Marco Robof su mio suggerimento, ha buttato giù un bozzetto che raffigura un paguro che esce da un anfora romana, con delle grandi ancore al lato.

Anche dipinto una tartaruga marina in previsione del fatto che Terracina diventerà centro di studio e di cura per le tartarughe marine. Sopra ci sono le varie fasi della lavorazione, della facciata. Poi cominciano i lavori di veri e propri di street-art con i vari steps di realizzazione.

Ed ecco il risultato finale! Marco Robof e Simia hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro!

Anche una piccola soddisfazione per il sottoscritto intervistato dalla televisione.
