Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I present a large-format painting whose photograph is the first page of the catalog of my works. It is my interpretation of history past, present and future. I have painted shipwrecks being absorbed into the earth, fusions between what was built and what remains of the planet.

In the painting I carried out an intense research on the material, by means of oxides and natural earths I was able to create pieces of rocky minerals and fragments of surfaces that belong to nature.

The surrealist part of the painting I entrusted to the various often unrecognizable shapes of boats, castles, and faces of ancient sculptures as signs of the presence of humanity.

I also played on the dualism between the physicality of the composition of rocks and mountains and the fluidity and evanescence of water and clouds.

Nature and landscapes are a theme dear to artist Armando Sodano. Places of pure fantasy at times, other spaces revisited in an absolutely personal and subjective key. The "imposing" Nature in this painting, shows a state of apparent stillness, a crystallized and material frame, attributes rendered by the use of earths and oxides. In the proscenium, like a theatrical scene, remains of a civilization, evanescent, rarefied. Two worlds man and nature that majestically survives the passing of man, in between the water, still, of a lake...collector of feelings and emotions.

Resti di Civiltà - ossidi, terre ed olio su tela

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi vi presento un dipinto di grande formato la cui fotografia è la prima pagina del catalogo di una mostra delle mie opere. Il soggetto è la mia interpretazione della storia trascorsa, presente e futura. Ho dipinto relitti di barche che vengono assorbiti dalla terra, fusioni tra ciò che fu costruito e quello che rimane del pianeta. Nel dipinto ho effettuato una ricerca intensa sulla materia, per mezzo degli ossidi e delle terre naturali sono riuscito a ricreare pezzi di minerali rocciosi e frammenti di superfici che appartengono alla natura.

La parte surrealista del quadro l'ho affidata alle varie forme spesso poco riconoscibili delle barche, dei castelli, dei volti di scultura antiche, come segni della presenza dell'umanità. Ho anche giocato sul dualismo tra la fisicità della composizione delle rocce e delle montagne e la fluidità ed evanescenza dell'acqua e delle nuvole. Quì sotto una parte della descrizione del dipinto elaborato dalla critica d'arte Gemma Marigliani ed inserita nel catalogo edito dalla casa editrice ArtDigiland.

La natura ed i paesaggi sono un tema caro all’artista Armando Sodano. Luoghi di pura fantasia a volte, altre spazi rivisitati in una chiave assolutamente personale e soggettiva. La Natura “imponente” in questo quadro, mostra uno stato di quiete apparente, una cornice cristallizzata e materica, attributi resi dall’uso delle terre e ossidi. In proscenio, come una scena teatrale, resti di una civiltà, evanescente, rarefatta. Due mondi l’uomo e la natura che sopravvive maestosa al passare dell’uomo, in mezzo l’acqua, ferma, di un lago…raccoglitore di sentimenti ed emozioni.

Un abbraccio pieno di materia viva.
