Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I dedicate my watercolor to my first job, after graduation, as a theatrical set designer. I collaborated in the design of many theatrical sets for a few years, without a salary as is the custom in Italy, then I won the competition as a teacher and I dedicated myself to teaching and painting.

I was very attached to the theater and for a year I have suffered terribly from the closure of theaters around the world.

I have many friends in the theater field, stage machinists, set designers, actors and electricians who have not worked for over a year and have not received income due to the closure for the covid.
The problem for culture is immense, because in addition to theaters and cinemas, in Italy (and in a large part of Europe) other places dedicated to culture are also closed, as well as concerts all over the world.

Since last week the Italian government has decided to reopen some archaeological sites and museums, but theaters do not speak!
One of the oldest human arts, linked to tragedy, comedy, opera, has been ignored by public opinion for 14 months.
We are waiting for better times and in the meantime I leave you some details of my watercolor and I hope you like it.

Sala di teatro - Salviamo il Teatro!
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi dedico il mio acquarello alla mia prima attività lavorativa, dopo la laurea, lo scenografo teatrale. Ho collaborato alla progettazione di molte scenografie teatrali per qualche anno, senza stipendio come si usa in Italia, poi ho vinto il concorso da insegnante e mi sono dedicato all'insegnamento e alla pittura.

Sono rimasto molto legato affettivamente al teatro e da un anno soffro maledettamente per la chiusura dei teatri di mezzo mondo.

Ho molti amici nel campo teatrale, macchinisti di scena, scenografi, attori ed elettricisti che da più di un anno non lavorano e non percepiscono reddito a causa della chiusura per il covid.
Il problema per la cultura è immenso, perchè oltre ai teatri ed ai cinema, in Italia (e in buona parte d'Europa) anche altri luoghi deputati alla cultura sono chiusi, così come i concerti in tutto il mondo.

Dalla settimana scorsa il governo italiano ha deciso per La riapertura di alcuni siti archeologici e musei, ma dei teatri non parlano! Una delle più antiche arti dell'uomo, legata alla Tragedia, alla Commedia, all'Opera Lirica è da 14 mesi ignorata dall'opinione pubblica.
Aspettiamo tempi miglori e nel frattempo vi lascio alcuni particolari del mio acquarello e spero che vi piaccia.
Un abbraccio urlato di tragedia.
