Though, the last little while here I've been locked into Ozzy's Boneyard. I was not really into metal in the 80s, though I would here some or the early metal bands on the classic rock station I mostly listened too. I've grown to appreciate a lot of the early metal bands that I thought were dumb back then and I'm finding I know more of the songs on Ozzy's Boneyard than I thought I would.
It's also pretty funny how tame the songs are compared to back in the day when they were considered edgy. I've been meaning to make a meme about it actually.
Whole fashion thing goes in cycles I guess there is just so much fashion designers can come up with, so they recycle the same fashions. I never liked mom jeans :) I like form fitting jeans on women.
I remember all of these songs, though they were not my favorites from that time.
The high waist thing to me had never made sense, but then I am a man. The low cut hip huggers are much more flattering and obviously do not understand fashion trends.
I like your song selections of the day, I got to know Jon Secada's music while living in Chile. It was all in Spanish, and to be honest, it was better. I've never been a giant Janet Jackson fan, after Michael turned white I kind of lost all interest in the whole dysfunctional family. But Belinda, talk about a homerun! She has been amazing from the time she was with the Go-Go's, her solo career, and today still has an amazing voice.
Fashion I'll never understand, but at least I do appreciate great music!
Haha yeah, I'm not even going to try to guess what the reason is. I would probably just end up looking like a moron or a jerk. I wish I understood more of the Spanish music, but two years in high school only made me mildly dangerous.
It's interesting that the high-waisted look keeps coming back for women every 20 years or so, but the high-waisted look for men vanished in the 50s and hasn't come back yet. I guess the high-waisted look for men has just taken on such a negative image that that makes it hard for it to make a comeback. I definitely prefer hip-huggers on women too.

I guess whatever is comfortable for them, and ultimately, it's definitely none of my business what they wear! Yeah, this is a new term for me too. Interesting enough that I thought it deserved a post!
