No, no, your eyes are not deceiving you, that is a strawberry as big as my hand. Pretty crazy right? My wife and I had our groceries delivered the other day and this is what came in the package. We had a quick discussion about whether or not the person doing the shopping picked this package on purpose because of the big strawberry or if it was just chance.
With the current bull market taking place right this strawberry got me thinking about abundance and how many of us might be on the cusp of it right now. Will it be something we choose or will it be pure chance that we happen upon it.
I've actually been trying not to pay as much attention to the markets as I had been in the past. This kind of lull that we are in has been a bit of a downer and I am trying not to let it impact me too much. It's hard though because as I said before, it feels like we are close to something. So close that we can almost taste it, but still just a bit out of reach.

It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the community.
BRO
This past week after the excitement had kind of died down from everything that was going on with Hive-Engine, I finally took advantage of the low prices of the BRO token and got myself to the title of Dragon with that group. It's something I have been eyeing for a while now, but with the price of BRO sitting somewhere in the range of 9 HIVE I wasn't willing to trade my tokens.
Lately, the price has been closer to 5 HIVE and that's why I decided to make some moves. I picked up most of my BRO in the 4.5 HIVE range. In addition to that, I also pulled back half of my delegation to the @brofi account as that is how I had been earning my BRO before then. That means my HP has grown and as such my vote will be worth a little more now.
Kinross Gold
Kinross gold is a stock I bought on Robinhood a while ago at the recommendation of someone from the #silvergoldstackers group. Though I don't own a ton of it, I still like to keep an eye on it. They just had their shareholder meeting this past week and they announced a quarterly dividend of $.03 per share.
Again, it's not a ton, but anything in the positive is a good thing these days. I'm pretty happy either way. I appreciate the advice I was given by a group that has such a wealth of knowledge.

CIV VII
I know this isn't really finance related, but I've been seeing ads for the past couple of months that Sid Meier's Civilization VI was releasing sometime in the middle of February. I'm a huge fan of the CIV games ever since the first one and I have been playing IV quite a bit more lately. I still feel that CIV III is the best of the series. It was before the made things really complicated. There was an elegant simplicity to it and the graphics were a fair bit better than the first two.
I used to have a cracked version of the game that I would keep on a thumb drive so I could play it anywhere I went. I'm definitely intrigued by CIV VII, but at $70 for the standard version, I probably won't be buying it right away. I will likely wait for Steam to have one of their sales and then I will go ahead and pick it up.
V Day
Finally, in case you hadn't noticed, it's the 14th of February today. I don't know if Valentines day is a worldwide thing or just a US thing, but here we are celebrating the commercialization of love. If that doesn't belong in a Friday Finance post, I don't know what does. My wife and I don't typically do anything special on days like this, but this morning she gave me a handmade card that was quite unexpected and very sweet.
If you do celebrate, I wish you the best day with your significant other. If you don't celebrate or you don't have a significant other, I still hope you have an awesome day.
As I said before, the markets kind of feel like they want to do something soon. Perhaps it won't happen until the 22nd as @edicted has mentioned, but who really knows.

Oh my gosh this is the biggest strawberry I've ever seen. Curious about the flavor!.
It was good. The perfect mix of sweet and just a hint of tart.
You received an upvote of 100% from Precious the Silver Mermaid!
Thank you for contributing more great content to the #SilverGoldStackers tag. You have created a Precious Gem!
It's a giant strawberry, God! I think it is not a coincidence, everything has a cause. Happy Day of Love and Friendship.
Thanks, I hope you have an awesome day too! It was massive!
Holy god that is big 😆😆👌👌👌👌🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
I know right!
Nice camera angle! Helps to enhance the size :D That's one big winter time strawberry.
Thanks, I was really shocked when I saw it. I said to my wife we need to get a shot of this!
Here in the Philippines, we also celebrate a commercial love every year. Flower price have seen skyrocketed to 3x, chocolate and cakes emptying from the supermarket shelves.
Anyway, about the bull run I am not that excited as before. Maybe I am now getting old. Now I just enjoying what I am doing. Bull run come and go, so do the bear market.
Witnessing the three bull market and the rugpull, makes more calm this day. Until now, I still have have verge on hold even before the demise of McAfee. Also KMD and Monero which I almost forget. And yes, I still have those crypto kitties and axies
Yeah, I can agree with that. Things don't seem quite as exciting as they once did. I think a lot of us are starting to feel a bit jaded. That's crazy that things sell out like that over there.
What I am waiting now is the next crash, the crash that mimic the pandemic sell out. Where everything is on 99% Off sale. I don't prepare for that oppurtunity since it happens so fast. Now I have some fund ready whenever that same sell out happens.
What do you think will cause it this time? Do you think it is going to happen sooner or later?
It could be a war between nation, South East Asian Nations and Taiwan and China Bullying, there is a possibility of US to join this confrontation.
Not very likely with the new administration. Maybe a year ago. We will see.
If President Trump put Russia and Ukraine on a peace talks. Then the war in South China Sea will not happening very soon. But we will see, weapon industry will skyrocket if that happens
I was starstruck by a very large strawberry—as big as my hand🤗. We don't have strawberries that size in our country. Our strawberries are quite different from those grown elsewhere. Some students told me that strawberries in China are very sweet, but ours are quite sour. I've tried some locally grown strawberries, and they're not only sour but also very expensive. 😍 I also appreciate the love💕 your wife put into her handmade card. A handcrafted card has a greater impact because it's made with love, It's truly special because your wife took the time and effort to make it. Happy Valentine's Day to both of you.
We get a variety of strawberries over here. It just depends on when you pick them. Sometimes they are very sweet and other times they can be a bit tart. We used to grow them in our back yard when I was a kid. They kind of take over if you aren't careful, they are pretty invasive. I was really surprised by the card this morning, it made my day!
That's amazing! I'd never have guessed strawberries were that invasive. I'm really excited to try growing some on our backyard, but I'll definitely need to manage their spread. I'll make plenty into strawberry jam, though😂. Thanks for the heads-up.
No problem! They are kind of like mint, they can get away from you if you don't watch out!
That is a big freaking strawberry. I do not think Ive ever seen one that big before. Glad Kinross is working out for us.
I think this is probably the biggest one I have seen too. I noticed the price was down, but the dividends are still a good thing.
I will be honest, I haven't paid any attenion to it since I puschased it. I usually don't. I will usually buy and let it ride. Sounds stupid I know, but figure it is all a gamble anyway.
That's kind of the way I am too. The only reason I knew it was down was because it was in the same article I read that talked about the amount of the dividend.
Was the strawberry good? Often it seems like the freak fruits lose all taste, but there are exceptions.
We do celebrate Valentine's Day here, but it is a day for women to buy men chocolate, not the reverse like in the US. Ahh... it's a good day for me!
I could get behind that day! It's been a bit, but I think it tasted fine. We mix them with our yogurt.
Nice strawberry! That's a great way to do Valentine's, it can become an expensive holiday for those going all out. Not me for sure! This BRO pickup, and sounds like Kinross is treating you pretty well. I don't own any personally. But it they have dividends they must be doing something right! Enjoy your weekend coming up here, hopefully the cold won't be so bad!
I hope so too for this weekend. Sounds like I might be driving through a snow storm tomorrow!
Happy Valentines Day, many people celebrate in India as well, mostly teens and young ones, some celebrate Parents' Worship Day, for us its just another lovely day together, with some nice food prepared at home.
That's always a great way to spend your day!
We were going to go out for dinner last night but a cold bug has been lurking and we’ve all gone down with it recently, including myself. So we had a night in, grabbed a nice meal deal from Marks and Spencer’s. That strawberry! Wow what a surprise! I didn’t know CIV was still going and that’s made my day. Going to have a look but could be quite expensive. Especially as I’ve just got a work laptop (Ubuntu) and a Mac, doing currently have a PC,XBOX or any other console.
I thought that strawberry was fake! Hope it tasted fine.
