Roads can be very treacherous in slush and sleet, glad you made it OK. An accident with a semi is never pretty for the smaller vehicle. The worst stretch of road I've ever seen for accidents was one morning I was driving in New Mexico from the south part of the state to Albuquerque. Then the ice storm hit followed by snow, there must have been one car off the road every mile for over thirty miles. One was cop which made me laugh, they should know better than to drive fast on slippery roads! I made it fine because I went slowly, you can't drive 60 mph in those conditions.
Great song selections, and "Midnight Blue" is a great a song. I've never been much of a Dylan fan, not sure why, just wasn't my style I guess. Stay warm, it's been a cold February this year in most places.
You definitely need to be a little more careful. Sometimes people are too careful though and it ends up causing just as many problems as if they were going fast. Especially with blowing and drifting snow. You need to power through it. If you slow down you are going to get caught up. I get that about Dylan. He is definitely unique!

It's a great place to live anyway! We only get the cold for a couple of months. Then it is pretty nice. It's a place where you get to experience all four seasons. Sometimes all in the same day!
Life in the north over here is pretty the opposite, intensive sun lots of dryness people usually get sick of heart diseases. Anyways the last song though is one of my favorite
I am glad that you and @mrsbozz made it home safely. Those five road accidents in less than 5 hours and the near misses are definitely unsettling. I am dreaming since I was a child to experience snow to the fact that I was born and raise in tropical region, but these photos you share in this article today, really paint a picture of the treacherous conditions. And in addition, it is crazy how things change very quick on the road. Ride safe always.
It is definitely a different experience. Even people who have lived with it all their lives need a couple of trips to remember how to drive in it each year. It's a whole different set of skills. It can be so beautiful though. I'd love to visit somewhere tropical at least once in my life.
It's been a long time since I read a post that stressed me out so much hahaha, especially when I saw that picture of the first accident they encountered. Good thing you soften it up with music later my friend. Around here you long for the northern life, but wow as in any place the weather always surprises, the news I get from the cold snap are amazing and I admire that you try to lead your lives normally; I don't know the snow, so I just watch with much respect from a distance hahaha... Happy to read and greet you bro, a hug for you! ✌️
Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it! I usually enjoy the snow for a certain amount of time each year, then there is a point where I am ready for it to be gone and the warmer temperatures to come back! I'm about at that point now!
Me living in Cuba I'm not used to see those images 🥶🥶🥶🥶 , it looks very cold place... and dangerous too to travel in the wet street.
Rough weather 🥶🥶🥶🥶 , good luck my friend.
Do you keep emergency supplies in the car? Our roads are mostly okay, but it gets chaotic if we get any amount of snow as we are less prepared. It seems the weather is changing, so it's hard to know what future winters will be like. Some places in the UK are noticing that they get a lot less snow than a couple of decades ago.
I remember the Dream Academy song being in the UK charts.
I did a ton of driving this weekend and we saw a few bad accidents. I also had so much snow to plow at the cabin and the house. I'm pretty sick of snow now.
Your thumbnail gave me a GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5) type of vibes haha...
And don't know if you believe in God, but as a Christian, I would say "God was on your side"!
You experienced multiple accidents but didn't get involved in any, and finally reached home without a scratch. The half an hour delay was really a mystery 😁
Great content too Sir. I just followed you some minutes ago just because of the way you blog 🙌🤗
Thanks, I appreciate it. Yes, I am a Christian and it did cross my mind several times that God may have given us that delay on purpose to keep us safe from something worse.
Sounds like you're getting the same weather as we are. We actually didn't get much freezing rain but lot and lots of snow. The roads sound treacherous. Stay safe driving out there

Oh wow, that is crazy. Heart Disease because of the sun? We get that over here because the cold so constricts your vessels.
actually if something happens and you're alone, you should have some supplies
Yeah, that is a good point.

Same with you @bozz, I like to experience winter with my family at least one time only.

It can be from time to time. You definitely need to pay attention and know what you are doing!
Just as you say 👌👌👌

We don't actually keep supplies in the car, but we probably should. I have some stuff in the truck, but not a blanket or anything like that.
I know people in the UK who keep a shovel and blankets in the car in winter. If you can't run the heater then it will get cold.
Yeah, I used to keep a shovel in the back of the truck, but I forgot to throw it in this year. I should put some blankets in too.
Fantastic selection!
It was pretty good!
Excellent!

Yeah, now that we have gotten a bit I am about to the point where I am ready for spring.
Same it was nice to get a little put plowing is already getting old. I spent like 4 hours fixing the snow blower this weekend
Yikes, that sucks. We just got a new one a couple of years ago, so it hasn't been too bad for me. It's got electric start so that is a bonus!

Thank God for the preservation 🙏
Indeed!

Thanks. I still don't think we get as much snow as we did when I was a kid, but maybe that is a good thing.
