Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. This digest intends to bring to light all those authors who often remain unnoticed and therefore reward all those who create quality posts, leading them to establish themselves on the platform. But that's not all!
After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?

Church of the Ascension or the Second Life of a Wooden Church of the 16th Century

by @danny.green

If you’re passionate about architecture, you shouldn’t miss this new post by danny.green. In particular, the author talks to us about the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Stavok. “Wooden churches are a rare phenomenon in Belarus, but still their presence is of interest. In addition, wooden architecture is distributed mainly in rural areas, which means that little attention is paid to it. By the way, I noticed this church quite by accident when I was driving from Pinsk to Ivanovo” the author told us.

(ESP-ENG) Proceso de retrato con lápiz de grafito / Portrait drawing in graphite pencil

by @santdw

Today’s artwork by santdw is a lovely portrait made with graphite pencils. “The initial strokes were made with the HB pencil. For the face I used the H and HB pencils for the medium tones and the more intense shadows were made with the B and 2B pencils. The base of the hair was done with an H pencil, to give the volume we used the B and 2B pencils” this is the description of the creative process. Read the post to find out more about this artwork!

A beautiful Day In The City Of Sherlock Holmes LONDON (ENG/ESP)

by @tattoking

London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and in today’s post tattoking brings us to discover it. “It was May 2021, my brother who lived in Malta suffered from cancer and had to undergo surgery, for which he was transferred to the city of London to perform the operation. I could leave him alone on the other side of the world and I decided to start my trip to the capital of England apart from that it was one of my dreams. We arrived in Chelsea where my brother would have a week to get to know the city before going into surgery” this is how the story started. Don’t miss it!

LGBTQ+ march and photographers behind it [EN-ES]

by @manuphotos

In this new post manuphotos shares with us a beautiful selection of photos taken during a social march. “These photos are not from an LGBTQ+ pride march per se, but are part of the photos I took during the workers' day march in Cuba on May 1st. I had to attend due to the place where I work and so I decided to take my camera with me to give a little substance to the day. It was a surprise for me to see in the crowd a huge flag with the LGBTQ+ colors, the few times I have gone to this kind of events this flag was not usually seen and I am glad that they now stand out freely in these events” this is how this interesting post started. Read it to find out more about this concept!
