Good night people! I hope you had a pleasant Friday, today I share this beautiful flamenco with you. I want to tell you a little about what I investigated about flamingos, there are two species in America and one in the old continent, all species are pink, from the white rose of the European flamingo to the salmon-colored of the Caribbean flamingo [Phoenicopterus ruber]. The case of this one that I paint is a Caribbean flamingo, while they fly they keep their neck and legs stretched out, which I find curious since when they see them on land they always curve their necks, I think that is something that characterizes them.

Les quiero hablar un poquito de lo que investigue de los flamencos, existen dos especies en América y una en el viejo continente todas las especies son rosa, desde rosa blanco del flamenco europeo hasta color salmón de flamenco del caribe [Phoenicopterus ruber]. El caso de este que pinte es un flamenco del caribe, mientras vuelan mantienen su cuello y patas estiradas lo cual me parece curioso, ya que al verlos en tierra siempre curvan el cuello, pienso que eso es algo que los caracteriza.
It needs shallow amounts of water and these are found on all continents except Oceania, often flamingos stand on one leg for long periods, with this posture reduces the loss of heat that occurs through the legs and feet

Necesita cantidades de agua poco profunda y estos se encuentran en todos los continentes a excepción de Oceanía, con frecuencia los flamencos se paran en una pata por largos periodos, con esta postura reduce la perdida de calor que se produce a través de las patas y pies.
