Although it's been a while now, today I want to tell you about my special New Year's Eve, spent in the snow and laughing with friends. I had never spent New Year's Eve in the mountains, so it was a new and magical experience for me!
We were in Rivisondoli, near Roccaraso, in Abruzzo Region, guests in the house of the girlfriend of one of my partner's best friends, together with her boyfriend and another couple of friends. We didn't ski or do any winter sports, but we took advantage of the snow to enjoy some beautiful walks. One of the most beautiful experiences was exploring Rivisondoli, the characteristic village where we were staying. The sunset we saw there was simply breathtaking, with the sky tinged with a thousand warm shades while the snow reflected the last rays of the sun.
Of course, there was a snowball fight! It was a moment of pure lightheartedness, with laughter and frozen hands. Then we took refuge in the residence's hobby room to warm up a bit and have fun with a few games of ping pong. I'm certainly not a champion, but the important thing was to laugh and have a good time together!
New Year's Eve was simple but enjoyable: we prepared the dinner together, with toasts, delicious dishes and lots of chatting. The party was a perfect mix of good food, a few drinks, jokes and laughter. And at the stroke of midnight we went out onto the balcony to admire the fireworks that lit up the sky. Too bad it was incredibly cold!
I shot a few short videos to try to capture at least a little of the atmosphere of those two unforgettable days. It was a simple New Year's Eve, without big parties or discos, but for this very reason perfect: the right company, the warmth of friendship and the magic of the snow.
I hope that from this little montage of mine, you can capture the sensations of those two days of relaxation and good company. Soon, I will try to post also the pictures that I took with the very same camera.

Benché sia passato ormai un bel po', oggi voglio raccontarvi del mio Capodanno speciale, passato tra la neve e le risate in compagnia di amici. Non avevo mai trascorso l’ultimo dell’anno in montagna, quindi è stata un’esperienza nuova e magica per me!
Siamo stati a Rivisondoli, vicino Roccaraso, in Abruzzo, ospiti nella casa della ragazza di uno dei migliori amici del mio compagno, insieme al suo ragazzo e a un’altra coppia di amici. Non abbiamo sciato né fatto sport invernali, ma abbiamo approfittato della neve per goderci delle belle passeggiate. Una delle esperienze più belle è stata esplorare Rivisondoli, il caratteristico paesino dove alloggiavamo. Il tramonto che abbiamo visto lì è stato semplicemente mozzafiato, con il cielo che si tingeva di mille sfumature calde mentre la neve rifletteva gli ultimi raggi di sole.
Ovviamente non poteva mancare qualche battaglia a suon di palle di neve! È stato un momento di pura spensieratezza, tra risate e mani congelate. Poi ci siamo rifugiati nella sala hobby del residence per scaldarci un po’ e divertirci con qualche partita a ping pong. Non sono certo una campionessa, ma l’importante era ridere e stare bene insieme!
La serata di Capodanno è stata semplice ma godereccia: abbiamo preparato insieme il cenone, tra brindisi, piatti deliziosi e tante chiacchiere. Il veglione è stato un mix perfetto di buon cibo, qualche drink, scherzi e risate. E allo scoccare della mezzanotte siamo usciti sul balcone per ammirare i fuochi d’artificio che illuminavano il cielo. Peccato solo per il freddo pazzesco!
Ho girato qualche breve video per cercare di catturare almeno un po’ dell’atmosfera di quei due giorni indimenticabili. È stato un Capodanno semplice, senza grandi feste o discoteche, ma proprio per questo perfetto: la compagnia giusta, il calore dell’amicizia e la magia della neve.
Spero che da questo mio piccolo montaggio, riusciate a cogliere le sensazioni di quei due giorni di rilassatezza e buona compagnia. Prossimamente cercherò di pubblicare anche le foto che ho scattato con la stessa macchina fotografica.
