Thanks my friend. I'm not sure if I'm just not holding my mouth right or what.
I am accustomed to putting AC units on AUTO, set the desired temp then not having to fool with it again.
So far as I can tell, THIS unit has to be handled pretty much constantly, adjusting the temp, the fan runs constantly (ummm... when the compressor shuts off outside, isn't the inside fan supposed to stop as well?)
I have two free standing thermometers in this room, I set the unit at 72°F before bed, and was comfortable (I like to have the air moving on me while I try to sleep)
I woke up this morning cold, both those devices said it was 68°F in this room, while the unit on the wall still displayed 72°, and it took quite a bit of fiddling to get the heat to actually come on back here.
It, as am I, are works in progress with a big learning curve ha ha.
Craziness! Sounds like it is a good 4 degrees warmer than consensus. Might have to try setting it at 76 to get a true 72 lol.
