Only place we see squirrels in iSimangoliso Wetlands Park or in St Lucia, a small red squirrel going by the name Tonga Red Squirrel.

Here they are quite common, especially in city parks you can see and even feed them. In the countryside they are shy as it should be :)

Monday and 1st November greetings, between voting and tax preparation still keeping me out of mischief.
Your squirrels do they hibernate through the winter or keep coming out looking for more food. Deep grey fur they blend in well with trees, not so sure about the snow when it arrives.

Hi Joan,
it's a holiday here and after a short trip into the foggy sunrise this morning, I am doing some clean up on my computer desk and maybe I'll do a Season Hunt post on the Hive later. It's dark outside and heavy rain is predicted for the evening ... we'll see.
Our squirrels sleep and wake up from time to time to get some food from one of the many hidden food storage places they have around their nest. I haven't seen one in the snow yet, to be honest :)

Voting day here, so day off but busy running around doing a vote....
Warmer weather back again mosquito attack and flies to bother me so soon hide away again.
Nice little squirrels with a chubby look, possibly feeding up before the winter arrived. Enjoy the day off... well it's almost over so have a good evening!

You get the warmer weather and we get the rain and snow in the higher regions, but that keeps nasty insects away 😆
I have decided to take the rest of the week off and go back to work next week 😁
