Fistral Beach Newquay, Cornwall is a well-known surfing & holiday hotspot, The Fistral sand dunes as far as I know are supposed to be protected since 2016 as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) SSSI UK GOV Link
The main problem is people have no respect for the wildlife and nature and destroy the habitats, and leave their waste behind. In fact, you can all kinds of rubbish and abandoned items known to human-kind.
Anyway here's a selection of photos I have taken, I am involved in a number of volunteer groups that include beaching cleaning, I think sometimes it would be best just to leave all the crap/rubbish behind for the holiday people to enjoy, As the it's kind of like giving someone a plaster(bandaid for small cuts) when their legs just been chopped off!
And some people tend to get beach cleaning rage after a while...
Coronna Extra Surfing lesson(bottle recycled by surfer a few mins after photo)
Some random metal detector people looking for the treasure!
Fistral Beach(Sand dunes in the background) Fire, Music, Drink, Drugs, Sex(?), Toilet, etc, etc...
Local paper report & kid from one of the groups I've joined(FFD)
Local Newquay fire engine called out to put out some of the fires(A common occurrence)
And here's a link to the latest group the Freinds Of Fistral Sand Dunes I joined a couple of months ago, As I was part of the older group that was involved in the beach cleans(There are quite a few groups)
