RE: Wait, did I get scammed? A #fridayfinance post

in Discovery-itlast year

Consensus seems to be that the "team" is basically non existent and this is setting up to be a good old rug pull.

The worst scam of this type I ever got duped into buying was back in 2017 when I bought into an ICO called "Symmetry Fund". It looked totally legit, and it seemed like a really good deal. The coin max supply was extremely low, at around 10 or 11K. They went all out with the website, and did a really good job. I bought 6 tokens at 1ETH each, before the company completely disappeared. Those tokens still sit in one of my ETH wallets as an erc-20 token to remind me.

Yeah, that's about how this one looks like it is going to be. The hype is good and the site is nice. Everything looks great. I should have known better. This one was only $.008 per token, so I got lucky there! They are still running the tiered presale too.

Yeah sorry to hear that. Sometimes you just want to try to get in on a good project early, but it is so hard to tell what is legit sometimes. We don't have unlimited time to investigate everything!

No, we don't. It seems most of these pump and dumps I either get in too late or they fizzle out. Best just to stick with tokens that have an actual use case.
