Toronjil (Lemon Balm)
This nice plant that seems to be ornamental with a pleasant smell very similar to the Lemon, arrived not long ago to my home from a neighbor, so I decided to plant it in my garden, along with other medicinal plants that I have there, (then I will bring another article with my other plants)
mi toronjil cambiando de negra a verde / my lemon balm changing from black to green
After 3 days of planting, they turned totally black, I honestly thought they had died, however, I didn't have time to take them out that day, and the next day the rains started so going out to take them out wasn't a priority either.
However, after a week of continuous rains, my whole yard grew alarmingly, but happily when I checked my Lemon Balm plants, at their base they were turning green.

How to prepare it?
I followed my neighbor's directions, and it's like this:
3 leaves of lemon balm, for each cup of boiling water, you can sweeten it with sugar or honey to taste, there are even people who put milk in it.
Another way to do this is to put a few sprigs in a liter of water, the juice of a lemon and sugar to taste, and leave in the refrigerator for a day, and take to cool down during hot days, being this very cold.
With the arrival of the rains, I will soon have leafy shrubs of this wonderful plant

Lemon balm is SUCH an ancient natural medicine - perhaps, made most famous of all by the nuns in the cloister in Koln in Germany - Melissengheist - Spirit of Melissa. 😍
