MY ADVENTURE AT RUCU PICHINCHA, ECUADOR

Recently, I had the chance to go on an unforgettable hike at Rucu Pichincha, one of Ecuador’s most stunning mountains. This place not only offers breathtaking views but also a unique connection to nature and the Andean culture.

Facts About Rucu Pichincha

Rucu Pichincha, which means “Old Mountain” in Kichwa, is located just outside Quito and is part of the Pichincha massif. Its peak reaches an altitude of 4,698 meters (15,413 feet) above sea level, making it an exciting challenge for hiking enthusiasts.

While hiking, I had the chance to take some amazing photos with alpacas grazing peacefully in the area, adding a magical touch to the experience.

The views along the trail and from the summit are absolutely incredible. You can see the sprawling city of Quito below and, on clear days, even glimpse other nearby peaks. The journey itself is full of rugged beauty and is a must-do for anyone visiting Ecuador!
