5K Training Session #5
Thankfully another solid outing today. I improved my time by about 40 seconds so I’m at the point now where every little bit makes a difference.
I pushed myself to keep a solid pace for the first 2.5 miles this time which was more than the last session. The last half mile definitely had some slower moments though and I’m hoping to shore those up as I go along to keep a pace throughout.
All of this coming a day after a heavy leg workout is what I’m most happy about. I was considering resting today but figured I would give it a shot and seeing my time still improve is encouraging.
Onto the next!

Great work on continuing the push. This is a great time as it what I try to target mostly.
Great job! 5th training session is hardly close to reaching plateau where every little bit counts :) You still have a month or two to go before the gains will really start to level out...
Don't forget, rest is where the growth comes from
Well, resting is part of it, so I think there's nothing wrong with choosing to rest once in a while
