Not feeling too good today but managed to still do a bit of food shopping. The wind hasn't let up so no time in the garden yet.
I've been reading the Industrial Society and It's future... as I'm not American and was a toddler during this time, I had no idea who the author was or what he did, but due to recent events I wanted to know what this book was about.
From an indigenous point of view, we have similar ideas - community, sustainability, environment, being against the system (decolonising) however I'm not against technological advancement but I am against the immoral/unethical use of technology itself.
Despite the above commonalities, the foundation of my own cultural and spirtual teachings are safety is always first - of ourselves and of others. That means not intentionally doing harm to others. That's where I draw a hard line here.
