Now, you really caught me with your reply! ๐
I was intrigued enough to go and search for it on the map. By the names shown on the screenshot map that you posted here, I thought it might be somewhere in Poland, but I wasn't sure. Now I am! ๐ It's quite close to Katowice.
Apart from this whole beavers' story (although, it might sound strange, but I have to tell you), I am amazed how you (the Polish people) managed to get organized, accomplished fast growth and development of the whole country, hugely raised the standard (of almost every average Joe) once the iron curtain was finally pulled off and the old communist clique replaced with "fresh" people in the lead with an entirely different mindset that the ones in the previous regime.
You wouldn't believe how often we talk and discuss it at home!
Therefore, your beavers' story makes even more sense and it's a perfect fit for the whole picture! ๐
well, not everything is as bright as you imagine, but yes, we have made a huge leap between getting rid of the communist regime and now. The country of my childhood (pre 1989) is completely different from the country I live in now.
Yeah, I can understand that there are always some weeds among the wheat (as we would like to say in my country), and accordingly lots of room for improvement, but I was talking more about the overall picture.
However, I hope that the completely different country you are currently living in means different in a good way!?! ๐
of course! I love it here, even if the grass is greener somewhere else :-)
hahaha - I like your attitude! I feel the same about my country! ๐
