My Actifit Report Card: September 19 2024 NHB Run #8 Rained Out at Takas Park

in Actifitlast month

Today was one of those f it all mood kinda day but I begrudgingly forced myself to get this jog in. Unsuprisingly, I ended up in a much better mood. Gotta love endorphins!

The rainclouds were looming in the distance but that wasn't gonna stop me. As they say in the Marines: "If it ain't raining, we ain't training."

I unlocked a "secret path" that wasn't there in my previous runs at this park. Let's see where it goes!

Ok so a random neighborhood but then I have a random encounter. ::Cue Pokemon encounter music.::

A little Growlithe appears and let's me know very vocally that I am not welcome here. I don't make any sudden movement but had to snap a pic of this sign. A reminder that, yes, I am in Texas and, yes, everybody and their grandma is armed!

At this point, it begins pissing from the sky. Thankfully, I had acquired this boonie cover that protected me somewhat from the downpour.

The wind kept pushing the brim up making me resemble some kind of pirate sporting a tricorne. Arrrr, Matey!

I put in another mile or so after the rain started coming down and ended up putting in 2.3 miles. This brings the total to 38.12 which is equivalent to the distance from the Alamo to Hondo, Texas. AI was really dropping the ball trying to find an equivalence and providing accurate references so ended up using Google maps measure distance. 😒

That's all I got. See yall on the next run on Tuesday!

Thanks for stopping by ✌️

It is rather good amount of steps. I'm a little worried - how do you do your walkings if it rains? You said that you are "technically a cyborg" in your description. What does it mean? Will you become rusted if rain catch you?

Haha my cybernetic components are thankfully embedded i.e. a spinal cord stimulator!
