This location for my runs has been, by far, my favorite. It offers plenty of shade, safer road crossing (See Death Trap Crossing report for what NOT to do, city planners!), plenty of wildlife and a boardwalk!
The only downside is this place has a lot more traffic. A couple times I was startled by cyclists announcing thier approach "To the Left!" and there was one instance where park police was fast approaching in a golf cart on the narrow boardwalk. For a second, I thought they were in hot pursuit and I wondered "What could have been my crime?"
I mean I did think about grabbing a juicy prickly pear off a cactus but this isn't Minority Report or 1984. We can't be arrested for mere thought crimes or uncommitted premeditations. Can we?
For the record, I would not actually steal a prickly pear as that could be food for the local wildlife. I can just go to the grocery store if I wanted to abate my hunger.
So, as it turns out, the park police slowed and apologized for having to squeeze past me to continue their mission, whatever it was. For all we know, maybe someone did take a prickly pear. 🤔

This hawk seemingly approached to a nearby thicket but then rested with it's bounty in a distant perch. Maybe it's way of saying "Hello!". 🦅
I don't think we're going spelunking in here!
You can actually see the traffic crossing in the distance. Instructions are for cyclists to walk their bikes across. I've read a story of a 53 year old man that was killed by biking through without paying attention at this or another crossing. People drive like shit over here so I would take every precaution especially a helmet to protect the ol noggin!🤯
Thought this scene was nice with the hills.
Ok this run, jog, walk session was 8.62 miles just past the end of the Morningstar memorial boardwalk coming from Tobin Park direction. This puts our total at 46.74 miles.
This distance is roughly equivalent to four times the height of Mt Everest.
Unfortunately, CoPilot based on GPT-4 has not been incredibly helpful getting me references for distance without multiplication or division and often with error. 🤦♂️
That is all I have today. Next run will be on Thursday. Who knows where I will go this time as this experience will be tough to top.
As for the NoHoldsBarred show, it was pretty wild as per usual. They were touching on the P.Diddy case (Phrasing?).
My mutual Smeagolfan who seems well-versed in finance came on and began discussing stocks. Two in particular were NISN and SOC. I decided to give these two a chance so let's track the performance later.
Current prices:
Nisun International Enterprise Development Group (NISN): $13.391.
Sable Offshore Corp. (SOC): $16.042.
