That ditch reminds me of irrigation ditches in Hawaii where we navigated them in kayaks. I bet during the rainy season the water is flowing nicely.

Wow, what an experience that kayaking would be! Some sections of this one fill with water, but the channel is so old now that much of it is cracked. There's even big sections where the concrete has been washed away completely. It's called the Bundaleer Channel and was built from 1897 to about 1903
It's a relic of another era now
