Oatcakes, well, a mix of oats, rye and barley. Mixed with butter, pinch of salt and enough water to bind. Pop in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden (about 160 degrees).
Jolly nice, the mix of grains is better for you, but the oats only oatcakes are more delicious. Home-made, they are melting and creamy.
I had with cheese and fruit, a few walnuts.
Really pleased I got in a walk for the third day running, it's been hard to get back into the habit. It snowed today, too, very pretty when I opened the blinds and super large flakes falling softly. It was cold out, but pleasant to walk if you were warmly wrapped up.
I went for my flu jab, then up to Asda for cheap toilet rolls (bamboo, it says on the wrapper) and Ramona's hummus. That wasn't enough walking, so I went out to the co-op afterwards for some raspberry jam and Thatcher's cider. I wonder if you could make a raspberry Bellini type thing?
