Had a plan for the day to head up to Ku-ring Gai Chase NP to walk - train and ride and walk. Did not work out that way after struggling all morning with Microsoft. They have changed the way the credentials are managed between desktop and One Drive and online. Seems that one can only have one set of credentials. Frustrating as hell as I manage all my risk exposures using their software. Going to plan B not using their software. Save $100 a year but costing me more in hours
Did get walking - chose to walk down to Blackbutt Creek to look for orchids. Signs of spring - grevillea flowering
Heard the cackle of the cockatoos - several in this dead tree against a blue sky
Did know where to find orchids - pixie caps orchid - acianthus fornicatus. There were trim greenhoods still going here too but the photo was out of focus
Budding chiloglottis orchid - was hoping to find one open. Not yet
A little further on in flowering - maybe next week
This is why I do the recce walks - this leaf and spike is a new orchid - guessing thelymitra pauciflora
NSW coral heath flower
Heard the chomping - a sulphur crested cockatoo against a blue sky
Heard the flapping of wings - the bird stopped for photo - yellow tailed black cockatoo
Popped into shops on the way home.
Dinner: Pizza from scratch.

Entering that place, were you not a bit scared because it looks kinda bushy
Your pictures are really lovely though
Big fire trail is quite safe. The bush never bothers me
Birds also live in dead trees, dead things are actually the habitat of the living. Very nice photos. well done
I love nature and thanks for sharing those beautiful flower.
