A different day lining up. My wife is babysitting her grandson. Said I would ride the bike down to their place to help a bit. There is a nice park not far from where they live with a good coffee shop. Started to rain just as I was getting ready to go. Put on a rain jacket and went anyway.
Not cycled down this way - a bit on the Pacific Highway and then on the hilly route that runs parallel. No traffic but hilly. The first end of the route lands up on a nice quiet path. Some grand old houses with views over the track
Skipped the suggested turnoff and landed up in a big park
It had a baseball field. Not the one I was expecting. Had to dig out Google Maps for the route to the required baseball field
Did stop for a flower photo. Did get to the apartment. Ollie was asleep. Took a while before he was ready to go to the park
We had a fab time in the park. Foam from the cappuccino in the coffee shop. Chasing the brush turkeys and the sacred ibis. Up and down the big slide. Short time in the swing. Home before tiredness set in
I headed back on the bike to get to the station. Second time today down the path that runs along the freeway
Got to the station in Artarmon before the storm broke
First time riding down from where we live toward the city. The routes that run alongside the Pacific Highway are quiet but they are hilly. Think I will get back to coping with traffic to avoid the hills
Did a few shopping items on the way back from the station
Dinner: My wife cooked ossobucco. I cooked mash. Worked well for a night off cooking

The surprising part was the path runs right through the houses only 10 minutes from Sydney Harbour Bridge. First time riding it. The young man is my wife’s grandson. He is great fun
