Small timing adjustment for our plan to drive down South. Waited for my wife's son to come by to pick up house keys. He will stay at our place for weekend and maybe a few days more. We delayed departure until after 1pm to avoid one traffic bottleneck. That worked but we did cop a big South going flow later. Trip was a bit longer than normal especially hit in a big lightning storm
Was really hot - 39C was the top recorded in the car. Dropped to 23C when we hit the southerly change in that storm. Was good to get settled
Rural Fire Service came bynfor their annual donations run - sirens all over the village
Did a local village walk to get steps up and to capture the roses
House on the end of our street is called Rose Cottage

My neighbour told me there had been a stinking north easter day - smacked the roses about a bit

Walked up the main drag to get a view of the mountain - Christmas greetings too
