Stormy Gordon Day - debris everywhere : January 17 2025

Another greasy rainy and windy day - really windy. My wife was out and told me about a tree down on Pacific Highway she saw on the way back. Went out for a late afternoon loop walk to get steps in

Got a theme in mind - storm damage - somehow this tree split and fell without taking out powerlines and away from the apartment block

SES have tidied up the bit that fell in the road

And kept the footpath accessible

Loop walk down Powell St - normally walk the other side - so a few house photos along the way. A little Europe style - Italy

This branch fell just ahead of me - not too scary

This started out as a red brick - now it is a pseudo Tudor with dormer windows

A simpler renovation - render the red brick but retain the old shape

Or just leave it the old style and put in stained glass windows and go old England with the garden

More rain rolling in from the south - best head homewards

Not sure what this modernist style is - nothing left of the old style but a bit better than the blocky things they build now - and they left some garden - most do not

Time to switch mode and get some flowers - oleander

Not really - road debris and more fallen branches

This little trumpet flower is new to me - plant looks like a passion fruit

Apartment for sale up our street - great location opposite the posh girl school

Looks nice - half a block away from highway and the train line - might be quiet enough

Spent the afternoon working on a new Internet Marketing launch. Got stuck with some detail steps that reminded me of the good old days when this stuff was really hard - still is hard on Clickbank.
