Got caught up writing up investing accounts. Was planning to head to my old neighbourhood to look for chiloglottis orchids. Getting busy is one way to avoid the "go back to old tracks" discomfort.
Walked down the hill late to walk Blackbutt Creek - kind of hoping there may be some midge orchids. None last year - might have missed them. Flowers on the way
Naked lady lilies on the way too. Hyacinth orchids have all seeded - photos were out of focus
Did find one bonnet orchid hiding under a fern - their season is ending. This flower was the top one on the spike
Trigger flower
Do enjoy the grand old trees - 50 or 60 years old
Mimosa flowering
Pea flower
Big tree down. Your chance to count the rings to work out its age
Council have tidied up - two big segments below the trail
NSW coral heath flower
Lobelia - seen last time - not fully IDed yet
Seed heads ready for a breeze to waft them off - no idea if the plant is native - was deep in the bush
Dinner: Roast chicken

You walk through nature every day, finding new flowers from there. Your work is admirable. How much time does it take you to do this?
The bonnet orchid is the less popular one here
I think it isn’t found everywhere because we don’t have it here
