Heading into a quiet day. We have a birthday for a friend's daughter. Will be a slow slide into an afternoon barbecue. Likely to go into early evening - not sure where the steps will come from. Did walk to shops for a few drinks for the party. My wife is taking dry January into February - shop for that

We did take along the ham we bought for Christmas. Our Christmas got derailed by family stuff - this has been in the fridge for a while. My wife took the skin off and scored and stuck in cloves and slathered in marmalade. Cooked on bbq - too big for the oven. Was yum

We had a good party - adding in a few photos from January - been a slow month for orchids
