Richmond Park - high Sydney blue gum forest : April 14 2025

in Actifit15 days ago

The day turned into a slow day at home - investing stuff - affiliate marketing stuff

Did walk to shops to get a few things. By the early afternoon was sitting at 3300 steps only - forced a walk - off to Carlotta Avenue and then Richmond Park - maybe an autumn orchid

Did get the rainbow lorikeet in the grevillea - upside down feeding on nectar

A few houses for sale in Carlotta Avenue - fab quiet street leading up to the remnant Sydney turpentine forest

The house - been modernised - not as much as the one next door photographed many walks ago. A pattern here

One sold across the road on the high side

Showing a few more signs of the old without all the modern clean lines - but changed a bit

The walk us about access to the Sydney Blue Gum forest - one of the few remaining remants

There was evidence of autumn orchids - a budding acianthus orchid- saw a few more leaves but no flowers. No other orchid evidence

Lobelia - hard photo topic as it wants to grab all the light

Interesting mushroom melange - crumpling up like drying paper

View back into the forest against the afternoon light. I do like the walk here - no traffic noise - birds aplenty - high trees. Too bad there are not a lot of orchids. It is rain forest enough

Did get the steps done and the mind a little more clear

Cooked dinner: Italian meatballs - was told by my wife it was crap food. Been cooking for 40 years - do not do crap food. Everything done from scratch - whole foods. Ended the day mightily pissed off

Do you have a thing for flowers?
You take their pictures often…

Easiest thing to bring joy to my readers and the colour stands out on the green. Grass is boring. As I am an orchid aficionado, they are all flowers
