Left home yesterday evening, drove to the pass with the awesome dispersed campsites, slept in my car, woke up at 430am, drove to the trailhead to meet my buddy at 6am, hiked for 12 hours and destroyed my legs. It was great. I had to stop 3 times to take a shit. After we were done I took a hobo bath in the river. Sat on a rock and drank a beer and watched the water run by without questioning its purpose in life, without even being aware of what it was doing. I wish I had what the river has. Drove down to the big city and got the cheapest motel room I could find. I've been here twice before. This time, there were about 10 cop cars in the park across the highway and the word on the street was that someone found a dead body over there. The parking lot behind the motel is full of people sitting in their cars smoking pot. I'm going to leave in a few minutes to blow $200 I can't really spare at the strip club down the street. What a wonderful life, and what a strange twisted world I live in.
