The EV has crazy amounts of instant power at any point. Lots of torque but perhaps not as much top-end horsepower when compared with some ICE cars. I think it is rated at 215 horsepower with both engines. It is very easy to drive and makes merging onto the highway a pleasure.
The closest thing power-wise I've driven was a 700 cc motorcycle that made 85 horsepower @9500 rpm. You would need to be down in the right gear to get that power and you wouldn't want to be riding around in a low gear in general because it was way too touchy.
