Visit to the Royal Pavilion : My Actifit Report Card: November 15 2024

in Actifit2 days ago

The Royal Pavilion in Brighton is a fascinating place. Otherwise known as the Brighton Pavilion, the palace was built between 1762 & and 1830 in stages by the then Price of Wales.

Today, we booked a tour around this old building. There are some amazing things to be seen. Such as the banqueting room.
The chandelier here weighs one ton!

The hallways are incredible, too. Such a grandeur! You could hold a party in these areas alone! 😆

How about a night in one of these four poster beds? Very cosy. 😄 They do look comfortable even by today's standards.

We must not forget the kitchen area. A very large room where the staff cooked the lavish meals for the guests. Amazing!

Last but not least, the decor was refurbished in the 1980's due to degradation. They reproduced the old design closely as possible. I must say it looks good and there is not many signs of wear and tear today.

I enjoyed my visit today. I think it deserves a return visit, as there is so much to take in. There are too many rooms and features to include in my pictures here, but I hope I have provided a glimpse of the atmosphere of the place.

These pictures are amazing, and you are right. The bed gives that cozy feeling just staring at it. Well done on your walk.

Thanks @balikis95 for your response. Yes, an amazing place.

Wow Brighton Pavilion looks so posh. Thank you for the tour. It reminds me of five-star hotels I've seen in the past. Must have been a lovely tour indeed. Enjoy your weekend!

It was my first visit to the Brighton Pavilion although I live only 20 miles away. I was impressed too!
