When visiting Fuerteventura, an excursion to Oasis Park is recommended.
A charity supported animal sanctuary with a vast array of animal and plant exhibits.
This is my second visit to this amazing park. This time, we concentrated on the botanical part of the park, where there are some lovely cactus plants.
Oasis Park is huge! There is so much here that it would take more than one day to see it all. There is a large collection of animals here, too, and the facilities are excellent.
Here are some of the flowering plants we saw on our visit.
Our visit was booked as an excursion from our hotel. We had about six hours at our disposal. According to the map of the park we were about 1km from the exit point! Time to turn around and head back! 😁
I think in summer, it would be very hot here, making it difficult to cope with. Maybe that is an exaggeration, as it is a dry heat. I would like to return in summer to find out 😅.
A really well kept park and zoo. I fully recommend this, and we will return again in the future to complete the tour.
