A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The sky today presents all the characteristics of a summer day in July in Naples. The sky is particularly blue on the luxurious houses of Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
Today I have to go for a check-up at the routine cardiologist and I am traveling to Naples on a day of train strike but regardless of the difficulties I am preparing to start my iamalivechallenge 401 as usual Alive in the bus in Piazza Garibaldi.
Fortunately, an extraordinary subway started on line 2 just 15 minutes after I arrived at the station.
When I got off at Mergellina I climbed up the beautiful avenue that runs along the Vomero column among modern neoclassical buildings.
The wait to enter was not long as I arrived early and the person who had booked before me was not presented.
On the way back I went down via Arco Mirelli which is a nice alley that leads you directly into the Chiaia Riviera.
After a brief incursion under the sun inside the town hall I began to start towards the bus stop.
But how could I not be attracted by this beautiful church with a visibly restored facade or the church of San Giuseppe in Chiaia.
On the facade you can admire a beautiful bas-relief of the escape from Egypt.
At first it was only a chapel but then in the late 1600s it was enlarged thanks to donations from the local lords for the charitable work that the monks of the chapel did.
The baroque style of the Counter-Reformation characterizes the work of the architect who has spared no detail. It is finely decorated with stuccoes of baroque inspiration.
Luca Giordano is the protagonist of the ecclesiastical building of which he painted many paintings of considerable value and finely colored with his colorful style.
The stucco decorations are the protagonists on the walls of the vault in this small church with a single nave.
Another quick raid I made on the roundabout Armando Diaz finally free from sports or tourist facilities.
From the very wide was clearly visible a huge black cloud caused by the fire of a tomato factory in Castellammare.
Someone claimed that they were clouds but magnifying the photo was visible, from a very careful and trained eye, a plume of smoke that started from the ground.
The sun was too strong and it was time to go home since it was now noon and the rays of the solar system’s beacon were very strong perpendicular to the head.
Given the subway strike 2 the bus was overcrowded and we passengers were canned stocked like tuna. At one point I was forced to go down in front of the Molosiglio.
From there I went up to subway line 1 which was not on strike and I passed in front of the skeleton of the Venus of rags gone up in smoke in the night by a clochard who did not appreciate the opera.
Great disdain for the lack of surveillance of a work of art and the incivility of the barbaric act but this will not bring the city to its knees since there are thousands of architectural masterpieces standing for centuries if not for millennia.
Before entering underground and starting the journey back home, you could not miss a shot of the wonderful mountain that houses the Certosa di San Martino surrounded by greenery and the intense blue of an increasingly clear sky.
The Neapolitan summer is getting more and more intense and the fire was the protagonist of today’s stage.
