I woke up to a cloudy day. I was expecting that. What I wasn’t expecting was the deluge of rain we got! It reached it’s pinnacle just as I headed out to the post office to ship the coffee I roasted yesterday. 🙄☔️
Within an hour of returning, there was a brilliant light in the sky! The sun ☀️ had returned! We set 3 pm to head out for a hike. Jan was going partway with us but would have to turn around at some point as there was an errand that needed doing during a specific time. We made it to the top of Bear Hollow when she had to go. @silvertop and I continued on.
Everything was dripping wet from the rain. It was all sparkling and fresh. The air was coolish but humid, so it didn’t take long to get warm.
It is snail season! My first snail baby save for this year. This one was a six year old out on the trail, but I’ve learned to move all of them as they invariably end up under your foot if you don’t.
@actifit-lamb went with us for the hike. She relaxed up on the Buckhorn Loop bench for a bit.
We stopped to rest up Towhee Ridge.

I call it a perfect day maam @elizabethbit where we can be ourselves, doing what we wanted to do. Today, I woke up with a pungent smells around my face. Theirs small repair at home and dad painted the walls and the smells of the paint is just very disturbing.
Hopefully it will soon be gone and not be a bother. Take care and have a wonderful day!

Thank you! Usually, every spring, there are tons of them. I've learned how to tell how old they are. The average I've seen in the past is 5-6 years or so, and last year, I found an 8 year old!
