Hey everybody! Thanks for stopping by! 😎
I got back in the groove for Tuesdays and was able to attend ladies Bible study. It’s been about 3 weeks since the last time due to work commitments. It was wonderful to see my friends and spend time in the Word and fellowship. It was a good study today.
I came home and cooked some lunch for us and began working on @silvertop’s Mac Air to do the security updates. While I did that, he put together my garden planting station that finally came. They sent a whole new unit. Ironically it didn’t have the hooks with it that it was supposed to have, so we raided the first one that was defective to retrieve those. To see pics, visit @silvertop’s post tonight.
In the meantime, his computer froze in the process of the update, so I hard shut it down and rebooted in ‘safe mode’. Then proceeded with the update. All turned out well. His computer is finicky, lol! I’m thinking to let a few days go by and the demand should dwindle so that Apple’s servers won’t be so busy. I’ll just not download anything until then.
Last summer, a full grown deer died at the edge of the property. We had no way to deal with her so we let nature take its course. The Turkey Vultures had already began work when we found her. Today, I went out to pick up her bones so we could bury her remains and to also save @silvertop from mowing them and her from being mowed. She was a big deer and I was kind of amazed at how heavy her bones are. As soon as we get past this rainy spot we’re in, I’ll go pick out a nice area in the forest for her final resting place.
Hiking time-Jan had other commitments, so we headed out for a hike; longer than the short hikes we take when I work, but shorter than the full deal. The forest is getting some new blooming going on.
As we entered Bear Hollow, I was struck by the contrast of color in the view.
A bit humid, but a nice hike.
Tomorrow is the first day of my work week. The doc is on vacation, so no patients tomorrow. We will have a fill in doc for Friday. Technically, this should be a laid back week. Technically.............. We shall see what’s in store!😁
That’s gonna be it for now. @actifit-lamb is running through the house in hot pursuit of Cot (the kitty in the picture behind the Fitbit stats) yelling ‘get those @actifit hooves movin’!!’
Cot doesn’t know what to make of her, lol 😂😹
Take care everyone and have a splendid evening! 👣🐑☕️😎👍😁🤗🌼

Oh my @elizabethbit, that is so kind of you to bury her bones...Hope you have a great weekend! I have been super busy trying to help my son get our new business going. I have wanted to start a business for about 3 years and i know we can get this up and running. It's just taking awhile. I don't get on Hive that much except because all of our work on our business is on Zoom meetings/trainings and the computer setting up everything else! I stopped substituting about a month ago, Anyway, I finally got to read this post today! My husband has not been able to build my greenhouse due to a procedure on his eye(follow up to cataract surgery - needs to not lift anything heavy for about 6 days) and it has rained so much here the last 2 weeks!
Thanks @goodmemories! I am waiting for the rain to abate for a few days as it's tough to dig mud! She deserves to be laid to rest.
What type of business are you starting? Sounds like an adventure! As for your husband; yes it's very important for him not to push the limits. Make sure he's ready to do the lifting before he starts.
Take care my friend, and have a lovely rest of your weekend!
