Very cool! You should get a metal detector to help you locate things. Perhaps this was someone's safe keeping that got lost. You never know!
I used to have a 1969 VW Bus like that but in red and white. I loved that thing! It was fun to drive but wasn't very fast, especially when climbing a hill!
