Hello Hive, I still don’t have internet access in my new house. Fortunately, it should be resolved in a few days (exactly 8 days).
It’s a house located in the countryside, where the network is very limited. Working properly with 4G or 5G here is therefore impossible.
I already shared this picture yesterday, but to give you some context: I recently changed the pipes of the wood stove. Yesterday, a chimney sweep came to clean everything.
However, he advised me not to use this stove because it is apparently not at all suitable for the house. On top of that, according to the law, tiles must be installed under the stove, as well as vents nearby.
Still, I lit the stove a little to heat the house.
But it seems that the person who installed this stove a few years ago didn’t contact the right people. Unfortunately, this now forces us to consider expensive work to fix these issues. I doubt we’ll be able to handle it this year.
We also discovered a very large wasp nest under a small building. With the help of the chimney sweep, we checked that it was empty before removing it. Luckily, he knows a wasp expert who helped us remove it!
Finally, the house’s plumbing is old and requires a lot of changes. Since it was my first time dealing with this, I went to a DIY store to ask for advice. The reception there was very unpleasant. On the other hand, I didn’t have much information to provide because I don’t know much about pipes. In the end, I’ll have to manage on my own and look for information online.
At the end of the day, after working hard with @altheana, we went to see the mayor to ask him many questions. He was extremely kind and attentive, and it felt great to have someone who listens!

Bonjour Hive, je n’ai toujours pas internet dans ma nouvelle maison. Cela devrait arriver dans quelques jours (8 jours exactement).
C’est une maison de campagne et il y a très peu de réseau. Il est donc difficile de travailler correctement en 4G / 5G.
J’ai déjà publié cette photo hier, mais pour remettre le contexte, j’ai changé les tuyaux du poêle à bois. Hier, un ramoneur est passé pour ramoner tout l’ensemble.
Il m'a conseillé de ne pas me servir du poêle à bois car apparemment, ce dernier n’est pas du tout adapté à la maison. En plus de ça, la loi veut qu'on mette un carrelage en dessous du poêle à bois. Et des aérations à côté.
Donc la personne qui a installée ce poêle a bois il y a quelques années ne s’est pas correctement renseignée. De ce fait, on va maintenant devoir dépenser beaucoup d’argent pour réparer le problème.
Je ne pense pas que nous le ferons cette année.
Nous avons un très gros nid de frelon sous un petit bâtiment. Avec l'aide du ramoneur, nous avons vérifié qu'il n’y avait rien dedans avant de le retirer. Il a un ami qui est justement expert en frelon alors nous l'avons fait tous ensemble. C’était vraiment sympa de sa part !
Enfin, la tuyauterie de cette maison est très vieille, il faut donc changer pas mal de choses. C’est la première fois que je fais ça, alors je suis allé dans un magasin de bricolage à côté pour demander des renseignements, mais j’ai été très mal accueilli. Je vais donc me débrouiller et regarder sur Internet.
