October 1st 2024, is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
There are so many activities organised by the government, for example, performances, fireworks, and drone shows.
I had the chance to see some of the decorations around the city, and the sad part was that they had cancelled the drone shows at the Kowloon Cultural Centre, where more than 2000 drones were supposed to draw many exciting figures for the national day.
The drone show was scheduled for 8:30, and then, to find a good spot, I went there around 6:00 pm. When the time came, nothing happened, and people started to ask questions and murmur. Finally, around 9:30 pm, the police announced that the drone show was cancelled due to technical issues.
I was lucky to attend another drone show where I took this lovely picture the previous week.
Here, all those lights on the ground are the drones; I took the picture when leaving the park.
The decorations are everywhere, from streets, parks, shopping malls and bridges with the Hong Kong and China flags.
All people can enjoy discounts of 25% off in the metro, ferry and tramways are free of charge and therefore the streets are crowded.
Happy National Day to all Chinese people around the world.
